RossSTABBINGS AND MAN FOUND DEAD!
Posted: Sunday 13th July 2008 at 13:40 by Craig

Yes, news just in people! as I am waking up with this hangover I am being shouted in my ear from Ross that a man has been found dead - he is far too lazy to make his own blog post so here it is, narrated by Ross:

"A 32-year-old man was found dead in his tent this morning ... The man's death is not connected to the earlier stabbing incident on the campsite - we will come to that in a sec.

... The unnamed man was discovered by his friends who immediately notified emergency service personnel, at around 11.50am. Despite the efforts of the medical staff he was pronounced dead at the festival field hospital. Cause of death is unknown - We will keep you up-to-date on this.

Now back onto the stabbing here at T, A Festival-gower was stabbed in the early hours of this morning, an unnamed man suffered multiple stab wounds after being attacked in the 'yellow zone' of the campsite.

The 22-year-old has been taken to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition - according to BBC News.

The suspects police are looking for are both men, white, in their late teens, one with a red tracksuit top and other with a white tracksuit top - Yes people, guess what that describes: CHAVS! there are chavs on the loose with knives, what a surprise.

Not that I am discriminating or saying that chavs (or neds as they are called in Scotland) always carry knives, but come on... and finally how are people on the festival site - appart from backstage and us lovely media people with blackberries going to be able to surf and find about this breaking news? Maybe we could all get pitch forks and do it the old fashioned way?"

Anyway, Enough of that Ross!!! I am going to go grab a coffee, be back in a bit with more lovely stuff.

DAY 2, JUST BEFORE THE HEADLINERS... YES ITS THE FRATELLIS!

Glaswegians The Fratellis grabbed the biggest crowd yet on the main stage here at T when they entered the stage to shouts of love, happiness and despair - oops, wrong band.

Oh well they got the welcoming of their home-crowd who - I think - all were mates?

Anyway, that aside, 'Chelsea Dagger' is still ringing in my ears but for all you lovely people following this blog de la blog of T then here is a live track of 'Baby Fratelli'...

RossTHE KOOKS MINUS PAUL
Posted: Saturday 12th July 2008 at 22:01 by Craig

The Brighton lads took to the stage earlier, BUT drummer Paul had - in Lukes words: "Fucked his arm".

Stand-in drummer 'Nick' didn't let us down though and The Kooks lapped up the audience with their hits 'You Dont Love Me', 'Ooh La'.

The band then left the stage and Luke Pritchard played us acoustic versions of 'Seaside' and 'See The Sun' - which everybody in the crowd slowly moved from left to right and back again - it was nice, one of the best moments so far!

AND then the rest of the band came back on to end their set with the 'Always Where I Need To Be' and yes Luke, you need to be at T. Well Done Guys.

Here is their latest single 'Shine On' for you:

RossPIGEON DETECTIVES GET THE VIBES GOIN'...
Posted: Saturday 12th July 2008 at 21:15 by Craig

Matt Bowman urged the Scots to show their best moves on the Radio1/NME Stage, The band rattled through their hits and Matt seemed to look dead by the end of a 'breath-taking' set - Literally, I would be surprised if he stopped to have a 'in and out' anytime during their set.

'I Found Out' got the ultimate reception as did 'I'm Not Sorry' which they closed with, here is a video of 'I Found Out' for ya'll ....

RossGLASVEGAS, SING-A-LONG OF T SO FAR...
Posted: Saturday 12th July 2008 at 20:00 by Ross

Yes ladies and gents... From the front cover of NME and being the whisper around the campsites here at T, Glasvegas rammed the Futures Tent today, playing a show which saw thousands of fans clamouring to catch a glimpse of the Scottish band.

Festival-goers had packed out the tent at least 20MINUTES before the Glasgow foursome took to the stage, forcing rows of fans 40-deep to watch from outside.

The bands' opener 'Flowers And Football Tops' was drowned out though, by the cheering fans who sang along to every word!

An acoustic track from lead singer and guitarist James Allan will be up tomorrow.

Their new single 'Love Is Noise' goes down with storm again tonight after playing Glasto a fortnight ago and boy do the boys and girls at Oxygen festival have a treat in-store for them tomorrow with this band.

Hopefully we will have it up sometime tomorrow for you all to watch, but here is The Verve performing this wonderful hit from Glasto for your memories:

RossHES GOT A NEW JAGUAR!
Posted: Friday 11th July 2008 at 20:45 by Craig

This feels like a bit of team effort here backstage at T, in fact Ross was over at the main stage where as I got the chance to hang out at the front with the cool kids over at the Radio1/NME stage to see Feeder.

Just back into the UK Festival circuit after working on their new album which the guys say is going to rock ALOT... the guys wrote the songs in a studio the lead singer built in his back garden, so it must be good.

Anyway they previewed a few new tracks from it which we all screamed at - in a nice, band groupie, love, peace sort fo way - and obviously they played the hits like 'Buck Rogers' which I remember from a few years back at T 2006 - Sounds better now actually, they are getting better with experience/age.

Watch it now...

Just caught 'Bartender and the Thief' and 'Traffic' which I must say were both absolutely mind-blowing and the 80,000+ fans were lapping it up like a Monkey laps up a, erm, banana maybe?

Anyway see the little 'Kelly Jones' pic below to watch a song from their set - more will be available the morra. Oh and Newton Faulkner - just class!

RossAM MOVING TO NEW YORK AND DANCIN' TO JOY DIVISION...
Posted: Friday 11th July 2008 at 18:00 by Craig

Hello everyone, Yes it is I, the all mighty Craig with a quick update from here at T.

Just back from watching The Wombats tearing down the Radio1/NME stage - must admit, they are a very good live band and worth every penny if you manage to get yourself a ticket to a 'wombats gig'...

Although they had a surprise visitor, more like some dilluded ideot with a mask and hot pants who performed some dangerous 'dirty' dancing behind Tord and Muprh, but the boys carried on with professionalism - if that makes any sense in the same paragraph as the Wombats, I Dont know.

As a treat - you can watch 'Lets Dance To Joy Division' right now, by clicking the little image before - more to come including another song from their set.

WHY DOES IT ALWAYS RAIN ON ME!
Posted: Friday 11th July 2008 at 14:30 by Ross

Sitting here in my wellies... sitting on a deckchair with an umbrella duck-taped onto each side to keep me dry and imaging how dry Glasto was...

O' Well back to work now. As you can guess it is lashing it down here at T and well we are all sitting pretending to not care when really it does matter about ever inch of mud that is managing to get inbeside my feet - I am like a mini-mud bus.. y' know, taking mud from one side to the other side of the site. BUT. HEY! we have golf buggies so its all cool I suspose.

Well I am off to catch up with Murph, Dan and Tord from The Wombats before they heat everything up and maybe get rid of the train on the Radio1/NME stage.

Back soon with some piccies...
